Upcoming UK Art Fairs in 2022

Art fairs are popular events that host galleries, collectors, and curators, covering all genres, and artists at any stage of their art career. They are typically 3 to 6 days long and most major cities host such an event.

Art fairs are excellent events for the public to find unique artworks and meet the artists themselves. They are also great events to spend a day, meeting people and doing something that may be a little different to the normal routine.

Art fairs also offer lots of benefits for the artists, such as:

  • Display your art to a wider audience – Art fairs provide an excellent opportunity for artists to display their art, whether in a small local art fair or a larger national event. These events provide excellent exposure to a wider audience, with the potential for artists to sell their work.

  • Develop connections – Art fairs are well attended by collectors, gallerists, curators and the public alike. These events are a great place to network with people within the art industry and art enthusiasts and can open unexpected opportunities.

  • Inspiration – By being surrounded by other artists and their artworks, different genres and styles, having conversations and developing networking connections, art fairs can offer new ideas and inspiration for an artist’s future work.

  • Feedback – Often artists work in isolation, and/or experience imposter syndrome. By attending an art fair, artists can gain valuable feedback from their contemporaries, professionals and the public. This can give confidence, a sense of belonging and feeling a part of the art community.

I have set out an extensive list of the upcoming art fairs across the UK in 2022. If you are an artist wanting to participate in one of these events or you are looking for new original artwork for your gallery, home or collection, this list can help you decide which events you might want to attend and help you plan your next visit to an art fair.

Dates and ticket prices are correct at the time of writing, but please check the Art Fair’s website for current details.
